Basically I tracked down my movement issues in game to VENT. As soon as someone talks or I talk I steer to the right in game and can't stop. without VENT on I never get the issue. I have reinstalled VENT, sound drivers, disabled logitech drivers, etc etc. So at this point I'm fine with just waiting till March for the full game.
Basically I discovered the "in game" communications and they work quite well but only "Badrobot" uses it so I was just wondering if more DEV folks would use it. Why not if we all end up in the same server. If not that's fine too........
That must be why badrobot echos because I'm hearing him in game and on vent

I don't know what to say for you not liking the game, Bushwhaq. The more I play, the more I like it. Somehow, I'm not bored playing this one map yet, but that might be because you can be playing in one of any 4 zones of the map at a time, so it feels more like 4 smaller maps strung together. What elements are standing out most with dislikes?
What is the most obvious for me is the constant in your face noise, you can barely hear your own weapon fire, weapons feel weak and poorly designed/developed. And I know this has been mentioned the white crosshair in a snow map, I was talking to Coot and he mentioned the crosshairs and I said something like "Hell I didn't know there were crosshairs". Graphics are not all that good really and I wouldn't be playing the game in hi-res so those missing textures wouldn't do much for me. That is what stands out for me the most, give me a desert or urban summer map to beta test not another snow map, they are just the worst. _________________ From where the sun now stands

Bush I wouldnt worry to much about the maps. I know its the beta and they're going to have snow but it is still the beta. They have said they have not put all the shaders in the beta because they wanted to make sure of game play. So, I think this will change some too.
The noise is an issue. When in the middle of a fire fight I can hear anyone in vent. If i lower the audio it still makes no difference. The guns do seem to be underpowered (except of course the pistol). You usually have to go through a full clip to take someone out which really blows when you have more then one enemy attacking. can't reload and stay alive. Plus you can hit someone a ton of times and they still dont go down.
The crosshair I don't even see anymore or havent noticed it so much. It acts as a reference for me. May be the reason why i'm having problems with the hard sites.???? Again, I can only assume they will allow us to adjust this in the commercial version.

Welcome Baboo.. yes the weapons are very helpful when fighting the enemy. I remember carrying around throwing stars as a kid, I was quite the badass. _________________

i have to say, when i first started playing with this game, i was really disappointed. BUT, i installed the latest ATI drivers for my 5850 today, oc'd it a bit, took out my 8800gt that was just there for physx, and installed the BC2 update. whole new game. still takes a bit to load a level, but i'm averaging 60fps which i can live with. previously i was only getting about 30. i may actually start playing this game regularly now.
